Snapped: Armed Forces Day 2015

Reading marked Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June in the beautiful surroundings of the Forbury Gardens. The annual, national campaign gave everyone the opportunity to show their support for the men and women of the Armed Forces past and present, including currently serving troops, Service families, Reservists, veterans and cadets. Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band entertained with a range of war time classics before the day culminated in an Armed Forces Veteran’s Badge Presentation ceremony. Other attractions included information and fundraising stands, displays and demonstrations hosted by representatives of the Armed Forces, veterans’ associations and related charities.
