Julianne Ponan, the founder of allergy-free food brand, Creative Nature and well known campaigner around allergies and anaphylaxis, is celebrating winning another two prestigious awards including Entrepreneurial Businesswoman of the Year 2021.
She was presented with the Woman Who Achieves Internationally Award at the Woman Who 5th Anniversary Conference & Awards Event at Coombe Abbey Hotel, Coventry earlier this month. Then, less than two weeks later, at a livestreamed virtual event Julianne learned that she had won the Entrepreneurial Businesswoman of the Year Award. All just before jetting off overseas to marry her fiancé Matt Ford.
The Woman Who Achieves and Solopreneur Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in business. They take place every year and encourage women in business to recognise their achievements, celebrate their successes and inspire others by becoming role models.
The Great British Businesswoman Awards provide a platform to recognise, celebrate and support women in business across the UK, champion their peers and advocates, and help foster the next generation of female business leaders.
Julianne, who was 22 years old when she took on Creative Nature nine years ago, said: “I am so thrilled and hugely humbled to receive these two prestigious awards recognising and rewarding the role of women in business. I salute every woman who was nominated, shortlisted and who won an award this year. I am truly passionate about educating people around allergies, which are on the rise.”
Creative Nature has already won numerous awards for both its products and the performance of its team. Certainly, CEO Julianne is no stranger to winning awards and she has already been named as one of the Forbes 30 under 30 to watch. Last November, Julianne was named as the UK face of an app aimed at saving lives. The Teal App was launched for those who live with life-threatening allergies and their loved ones.
More recently, on the eve of Allergy Awareness Week in May 2021, Creative Nature won the Gold Medal award for their Cheeky Choc Hazelnot Gnawbles in the Free From Hero Awards Innovation category.
Julianne started making her own healthy snacks out of frustration at the lack of nut-free products in the market that weren’t packed with additives. She used superfood ingredients to improve the nutrient value and used her fiance, Matt as a guinea-pig to get the flavours right.
With her team, Julianne has taken her life experience to create products which work for people living with allergies and intolerance. However, the products are popular across the board, as they are also vegan-friendly and lower in sugar.
Creative Nature offers bars, baking mixes, sweet treats and superfoods, which are free from the top 14 allergens and are vegan friendly and nutritious. Creative Nature products can now be found in supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Co-op and Ocado; High Street retailers like TK Maxx; online at The Vegan Store, Mighty Small and Holland & Barrett as well as overseas across Europe, the Middle East and Far East.
